The laid back,traditional rural village atmosphere of Göcek is perfectly suited to a Bohemian way of life!It is the  perfect place for a stres-free,relaxing holiday .And whilst stil providing enough facilities to support the growing numbers of visiting and resident sea and land-based tourists,its location, in front of a step mountain and tucked into a valley has meant that major 
tourism hasn’t yet found its way here.Situated along the Gulf  of Fethiye (around 30 km from the bigger resort of Fethiye),there is no public beach to use ,but the beautiful marina makes up for a this with its yachts and boats.The charming resort centre has cobbled streets and a collection of interestingshops to buy locally-produced goods such as leather,carpets gold and silver.There are plenty of comfortable and tasteful restaurants serving locall and international menus(fish is a speciality in restaurants along the marina front)and a few bars to prop up,nothing too noisy and certainly no loud clubs or discos to disturb the peace!  Transfer time from Dalaman airport to Gocek :approx 25 minutes
